Despite the stiff North West wind the last 3 days we were able to fish 3 out of the 4 days booked. Friday we had a group of 4 guys new to Tog fishing. The chew was a little fussy probably due to all the North East wind we had earlier in the week. The guys worked hard at it all day and ended up with 14 in the box. We allso happened to see birds going crazy, so I told the guys it was Blues, or Rock Fish and we could catch a few but they must go back since we were outside the 3 nautical mile line (super dumb rule). Managed to hook 5 nice Rock in the 35-40 inch range, but they went swimming home.
Saturday we had some very loyal customers who have fished with me for a long time. Guys were on fire keeping a boat limit of 30 nice togs up to 7 pounds before 1030. Stayed out another hour releasing fish, and back in the slip by 1230. Tog's are a tricky fish to catch and angler skill helps a lot, and these guys new how to get it done.
Sunday we had a group of 6 from Virginia, and the fish were chewing good first thing in the morning. Guys worked hard at it and managed 38 fish, 2 shy of a boat limit.
The wife finally loaded some new pictures so check them out
