Had a group of 6 great guys today looking to stock up on some fish. As soon as we hit the Ocean I knew we would be in for a rough day. Wind was starting to climb along with the seas. Beat are way down south thinking we would stay close to the beach, hoping it would be a little nicer. After a very bumpy ride we anchored up and started catching some Trigger fish. Guys worked at it, and managed around 40 Trigger fish, and 4 nice togs. Weather started to get a little nicer, so we headed off to look for some Flounders. As soon as lines hit the bottom we had fish on. Over the next hour the group would land 32 nice keepers with 8 fish over 5 pounds, and 1 nice 9 and a 1/2 pounder. I can honestly say that was one of the most ferocious bites we have had all year for Flounder. As with everything weather is everything. If we have good weather, and conditions we have seen good catches.
