Took a small group, and a Representitive for the DNR out today, to gather Togs for research. They wanted to gather Togs in a variety of different sizes in order to study them better. DNR had a goal of collecting at least 40 for research. We ended the day keeping 70 between 5 guys. So the DNR was able to get plenty of information from these fish for future study's. Customers went home with plenty of fillets, and some was donated to a local food bank. The information will help to determine that our stock of fish is local and does not migrate. This will help to keep our Tog regulations local to our region.
