We were able to fish Fri, Sat, and Sun this week (Thank You Mother Nature :). Fridays trip found a scratchy bite in the areas we had been fishing first 2 spots produced nothing. So I decided to bite the bullet and run a good ways south. Was a good thing because the fish cooperated a little better down there. Had to fish quite a few spots, and ended up being a late day, but guys did very good keeping 28 nice fish up to 9 pounds.
Saturday had a group of 5, and decided to run South again. Fish were picky, and had to move around a lot but guys had a good time, and managed 26 nice fish with the 2 largest being 8 pounds.
Sunday we had another group of 5. Clearing the inlet I noticed the wind was a lot stronger then they were calling for. Normally would not have decided to run 20 miles into a steep head sea, but hearing reports from other guys that had been struggling the last few days, we ran South again. First wreck only produced a few shorts, but managed to catch a few legal fish on each piece we fished through the day. Bite did improve as the seas got nicer, and the current picked up through the day. Fished 5 pieces for the day with the guys ending up with 30 nice fish with the largest being just North of 10 pounds.
Folks please remember when you book a trip with us I can not guarantee that you will catch a monster Tog. Do we catch large fish yes we do!! Do we catch them every trip No we don't!! Will telling the Captain you only want big fish get you a big one, No it won't. The guys that I have seen catch big fish are very patient, and understand that weather, conditions, and lots of above power determine if and when you land a big one. So please if you expect only big fish I am telling you now Dont even bother booking a trip with us. This is Fishing folks, and we all no what that means.
