Weather man was calling for a nice day, but he lied. What was supposed to be NW around 10 knots for the day started at NE at 20 knots. We beat our way out a little further looking for some larger fish. Water was much dirtier today, and the first spot we only picked a few. Went just a little deeper, and started picking away. Had a few bruisers hooked up, Sal got his which was a nice 12 pounder. Erics fish got him stuck, and broke him off. Then Alex managed to hook up a massive beast get him up off the bottom, only to snap the billet aluminum handle on his reel in half. The equipment failure gave the fish his chance and he dug deep in the wreck only to bust Alex off while he was trying to hand line the fish in. Top honors of the day go to John landing his new personal best a monster 16 pound fish which he released. Ended up being a great day considering the weather was much worse than it had called for. Managed to get back in a hour early with a boat limit with a bunch of cold wet happy anglers. Nice work guys!!
